Hack The Box (HTB), the Cyber Performance Center with the mission to provide a human-first platform to create and maintain high-performing cybersecurity individuals and organizations, is excited to announce its new partnership with Norwich University, an institution known for its commitment to excellence in education and innovation. This collaboration will enhance Norwich University’s cybersecurity curriculum, equipping students with the tools, skills, and certifications needed to excel in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

As part of the partnership, Norwich University will integrate Hack The Box's industry-leading platform into its cybersecurity program, providing students with hands-on experience through real-world cybersecurity challenges. This collaboration marks a critical step toward ensuring students not only learn theoretical concepts but also gain practical, job-ready skills that align with the ever evolving demands in the Cyber Domain.

Innovative learning meets workforce development

The integration of Hack The Box into Norwich’s curriculum brings far more than a typical classroom experience. Students will gain access to advanced content that replicate real-world cybersecurity scenarios, keeping them engaged and ensuring they are well-prepared to enter the workforce immediately after graduation. In addition to the Cybersecurity Program's degree, students will earn certifications that directly align with DoD job roles, offering them an edge in securing critical positions in federal agencies.

At Norwich University, our mission extends far beyond simply imparting cutting-edge knowledge and skills. We are passionately dedicated to inspiring a deep commitment to lifelong learning and the pursuit of excellence in every student, stated Dr. Robin Saunders, Academic Director for Technology Programs.

This dynamic partnership enriches Norwich's curriculum with engaging, hands-on, and interactive challenges, along with highly sought-after certifications that resonate with employers, especially within the esteemed ranks of the Department of Defense (DoD) and other pivotal government sectors.”

The initiative is designed to offer students the best of both worlds— a degree from a prestigious military institution and a comprehensive certification that positions them for immediate employment. With Hack The Box’s gamified learning environment, students will be able to develop critical problem-solving skills in a collaborative, engaging setting.

Fostering equal opportunity across platforms

Norwich University’s approach is unique in that it ensures all students, whether enrolled in online programs or traditional on-campus courses, will have equal access to the same high-quality learning tools. The university is committed to offering identical courses and learning objectives across its platforms, ensuring a consistent experience for all students regardless of their location.

I am committed to building upon Norwich's distinguished legacy. My objective is to shape a future in which cybersecurity and information systems professionals lead with exceptional confidence and unwavering integrity. By integrating Hack The Box into our curriculum, we are equipping our students with resources that align with real-world requirements and industry standards. This initiative provides them with a comprehensive and engaging learning experience, said Dr. Saunders.

Expanding the model nationwide

This collaboration goes beyond Norwich University. As part of a broader initiative, Norwich will serve as a model for other military colleges, with Hack The Box playing a key role in extending this innovative approach to cybersecurity education across the country. The university is leading the way in creating a template for higher education that bridges the gap between traditional learning and modern workforce development.

We are proud to be at the forefront of this movement, providing our students with not only a degree but the option to complete powerful certifications that will open doors to high-demand positions in the cybersecurity sector, said Dr. Michael Battig, Director, Senator Patrick Leahy School of Cybersecurity and Advanced Computing. “Norwich University’s emphasis on experiential learning, combined with Hack The Box’s cutting-edge platform, ensures our students are prepared for the future of cybersecurity.

A new era of education

By teaming up with Hack The Box, Norwich University is setting a new standard for educational institutions seeking to prepare students for the fast-paced, ever-evolving world of cybersecurity. The integration of HTB’s platform into the curriculum allows Norwich University to provide an engaging, real-world, and job-ready education that will serve as a model for other institutions.

At Hack The Box, we believe in pushing the boundaries of traditional education to ensure that students are not just learning concepts but are also applying them in real-world situations, added Keith Gologorsky, SVP of Global Federal & SLED at Hack The Box. “We’re thrilled to partner with Norwich University, a leader in military education, to create a program that equips students with everything they need to succeed in the cybersecurity field.
